With a gorgeous, last-century Paris meets New York's East Village interior, Maven was opened by Sharon Beatty in 2008. Designer clothing, with a focus on texture and cut. Hand-loomed cashmere and silk by Sian Jacobs. Luxurious designs in organic fabrics by Sophie Rieu for Unicorn. Quirky high-end leather bags and belts by Talula de la Lune. French labels Urbahia for stylish weather proof coats and Glove Story for silk lined leather gloves.
Exclusive to Maven are N.Y labels Samantha Pleet, Garde, Yoon, Pepper and Pistol and Silvia Hilman.

- A message to all my ladies-in-waiting. More Talula bags have arrived. Butterscotch, lilac and softest baby blue. Also the cashmere and cotton hooded string tops from Yoon. Perfect little antidotes for this vile weather. x x
- Maven will open as usual tomorrow. New in this week are dinky little cotton cardis and tops from NYC and exquisite jkts by Sophie for Unicorn. Not a bonnet in sight!
- New leather and fresh hyacinths. Intoxicating.
- Talula has arrived. Prepare yourselves.
- Dearest Mavenettes. The shop will be closed this Saturday (drunken people dressed as leprechauns etc) but normal services will resume on Tuesday. x
- Sian Jacobs SS12. The first batch of spring cashmere has arrived. Reminds me of sugared almonds. Can almost taste it.
- Winter proof coats less 40%. So snug and cozy. Still some left. Just saying!!
- Snag list time. Anybody with snags in Sian Jacobs cashmere (purchased in Maven), should drop it in by next Wednesday for free repair. Look forward to seeing you. x
